The best secret with Facebook, which continues to be ignored by advertisers, is the direct advertising approach. So many times I still see ads running with the same strategy that might match their highway billboard. This old tactic will receive zero results on Facebook and waste tons of cash. Facebook allows the ability to narrow down your campaigns to specific genders, age groups, marital status, even specific hobbies and likes.
This means that the standard billboard campaign could be broken down into more than 18 different campaigns ranging on male or female and age range. Giving you the ability to target the exact consumer needing your exact product right now.
